HND in Applied Construction Technology
Duration of Study: Two Years (8 Academic Quarters)
Acceptance Criteria: SAG High School or Equivalent
Description:
This program was custom designed and developed by the Institute based on practical experience coupled with academic knowledge of this vocation after a comprehensive study of Saudi labor market needs; it includes the skills required for construction specialist where the trainee is qualified in concrete technology, steel building structures, construction works, surveying, materials properties, quantities and specifications, steel fixing, formwork, plumbing, electrical installations, electric arc welding, structural drawing and computer aided drawing (AutoCAD) to follow an intensive prep-course in general English, HND occupational English, mathematics, physics, IT, engineering drawing and trainee safety.
Award:
After successful completion of all HND requirements, a Trainee will be awarded a Higher National Diploma.

Graduates of this HND have acquired qualifications in quality assurance, materials testing, weld inspection, corrosion, safety, metallurgy, scaffold and platform inspection. They can apply for positions as an engineering inspection specialist in major industries such as oil, gas, petrochemical, electric power, water and related support services, in addition to opportunities in sectors including construction, contracting, operation, maintenance, engineering and technical services.
HND in Welding Technology
Duration of Study: Two Years (8 Academic Quarters)

Description:
This program was custom designed and developed by the Institute based on practical experience coupled with academic knowledge of this vocation after a comprehensive study of Saudi labor market needs; it includes the skills required for welding specialist where the trainee is qualified in electric arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, metal cutting, materials science, weld testing, technical drawing, computer aided drawing (AutoCAD) and safety to follow an intensive prep-course in general English, HND occupational English, mathematics, physics, IT, engineering drawing and trainee safety.
Award:
After successful completion of all HND requirements, a Trainee will be awarded a Higher National Diploma.
